My bills are automatically taken out of my account. Why should I use Bill Pay?

Bill pay puts you in charge of your finances. Using Bill Pay you are empowered to choose how much each biller receives and when. Any changes you need to make can conveniently be done from one place instead of going to each company's website.

I like the auto payments because I don't have to go in and do it each month. Can I do that using Bill Pay?

You can set up reoccurring automatic payments in Bill Pay.  You are still choosing the date each month and the amount.

Will my bills be paid each month automatically?

Automatic payments are an option but not required. Many customers retain control on when payments are made by paying bills
each month they are due.

How are my bills paid?

Bills can be paid different ways in Bill Pay. Most payments are sent electronically from your account to the biller's account.  If the biller isn't able to accept electronic payments or the amount is too large for an electronic payment, a check will be issued to the biller.

How much does this service cost?

There are no additional service charges for use of Bill Pay, unless you request an expedited overnight or next day payment. These rush services are available for an additional service charge.

Who can I pay?

Any person or company that you would write a check to or set up an electronic payment to.

How long does it take for the bills to be paid? Will my bills be paid on time?

Checks are mailed out 4 days before they are due in order to get to the biller on time.

I forgot to set up a bill, what can I do?

Same day payments are available to some billers for an additional service charge.  Next day payments are available to all billers for an additional service charge.  The additional service charge amount will be displayed prior to authorizing the expedited payment.

How do I set up my bills?

 Simply click on Bill Pay from your Online Banking and follow the steps.  You may also view an Online Demo or Contact Us.

Can I use this service to get money to my child that is out of state at college?

Yes, we do have a Bill Pay service specific for these personal payments called Popmoney.  Popmoney will electronically send the funds to anyone you want by sending an email or text message to the recipient with details on how to receive the payment.  There is a service charge for this service that will be displayed prior to authorizing the payment.

I want to move money between my account at MidCountry and an account I have at another bank.  Can I set up a bill payment to myself?

Yes, we do have a service just for sending funds between two of your accounts at different banks, Account to Account Transfers.
Simply click on Bill Pay from your Online Banking and then select Account to Account Transfer.  Follow the instructions to set up a transfer between your two banks.  There is a service charge for this service that will be displayed prior to authorizing the
transfer.

Can I see my bill pay history?

Yes, Bill Pay stores 7 years worth of payments.
