Chamber of Commerce Commitment
Winthrop, MN – (December, 2014) - Nikki Willemssen has upped her commitment to her area Chamber of Commerce. She previously served on the board of the Winthrop Area Chamber of Commerce as a director, and has now been named the Vice President of the organization. The Chamber’s mission statement proclaims a commitment to promoting the interest of the business community, supporting and encouraging those cultural and civic events beneficial to the community, and endorsing those activities that will improve or expand the quality of life in Winthrop. Nikki’s involvement with such an enterprise aligns perfectly with MCB’s Vision of being responsive to the community and its underlying issues, and also with our value of compassion – wanting only the best for her community! MidCountry Bank Announces Carol Veurink as Branch Manager and Community Business Banker
St. Cloud, MN – (October, 2014) – Tom Naughtin, Retail Banking Manager at MidCountry Bank, is pleased to announce that Carol Veurink has joined the MidCountry team as Branch Manager and Community Business Banker.
Carol comes to MidCountry Bank with 20+ years of experience in banking, where she has inspired a number of banking teams to exceed customer expectations with exceptional service and individualized attention. As Branch Manager and Community Business Banker, Veurink will build relationships in the community to help not only businesses, but the community as a whole, thrive.

Veurink most recently served as a Business Development Officer for Minnesota Business Finance Corp, an SBA 504 certified company.
MidCountry Bank Announces Kurt Egertson as Commercial Credit Manager
Bloomington, MN – (August, 2014) - Greg Drehmel, Chief Credit Officer for MidCountry Bank is pleased to announce Kurt Egertson as Commercial Credit Manager. Egertson offers over 25 years of experience in the industry, with significant experience in credit and commercial lending. In his post as Commercial Credit Manager, he will oversee credit/risk management, credit approval, and credit analysis. He will also be a mentor to MidCountry Bank’s analysts and lenders.
“Kurt’s solid credit background and leadership skills make him the perfect fit for our team” said Drehmel, “His proven leadership and strategic planning and execution talents are a welcome addition to MidCountry Bank.”
Egertson received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Augsburg College. He attended both St. Cloud State University and Thunderbird School of Global Management and earned a Masters in Accounting and Finance from Thunderbird.

MidCountry Bank Announces Carol Kollodge as Director of Human Resources

Kollodge brings 25 years of Human Resource experience to her post, most recently as Director of Human Resources and Organizational Effectiveness at Anchor Bank, N.A. Carol received her MBA from the University of St. Thomas and maintains additional certifications including SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) and PMP (Project Management Professional).

MidCountry Bank Announces Amanda Kaping as Retail Mortgage Sales Representative
Hutchinson, MN – (May, 2014) - Greg Krenz, President of MidCountry Mortgage, announces the newest member of the MidCountry Bank Mortgage team, Amanda Kaping. As Retail Mortgage Sales Representative, Kaping will concentrate on guiding customers through every step of the mortgage process to make their experience like no other. Her expertise with a wide range of mortgage solution options from first time homebuyer programs to portfolio products positions her to find just the right mortgage for each customer.

Kaping has 25+ years of experience in the mortgage industry, most recently as Real Estate and Consumer Lender for Home State Bank in Litchfield, MN. She holds a B.A. in Finance with a minor in Accounting from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, MN.
April, 2014 MidCountry Bank Breaks Ground on an External Remodel of its St. Cloud Facility
St. Cloud, MN - (April 2014) - MidCountry marked the official start of an extensive remodel project at their facility on St. Germain Street on Monday, April 21. Helping commemorate the event were local mayor, Dave Kleis, along with representatives from the Chamber of Commerce, Boser Construction, St Cloud Downtown Council & Alliance, Greater St Cloud Development and MidCountry Bank officials.
“We are pleased to invest in the St. Cloud community and to provide our visitors with an experience designed with the customer in mind,” commented Branch Manager Paula Capes.
The remodel is expected to be complete in approximately two months. Plans include an improved drive up and traffic flow, separate customer parking area, new and improved entrance to the branch office, and a complete renovation of the building exterior.
